LP1 Recordings From the Institute of Sonology

“Instead of composing with sounds, as is generally the case in instrumental music, in Sonology the sound itself is composed in such a way that it gives expression to musical form.”

This collection of recordings aims to showcase works produced at the Institute of Sonology, including works with analogue modular synthesis, algorithmic composition, live electronic music, and composition based on field recordings. This is the first collection of recordings to appear on Vinyl of some of the different approaches to sound composition as taught at the Institute of Sonology, part of The Royal Conservatory in the Hague, the Netherlands.
